PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Scenios is an enterprise-grade video production platform. It focuses on team collaboration and lets everybody involved, from producer through actors to lighting staff, access the right information in the right time.

One of the biggest challenges in this project was creating a reliable video transcoding infrastructure. Uploading or importing from Dropbox a multi-gigabyte video places it in a job queue which produces low and high-quality versions available for streaming through Amazon Cloudfront. Scenios provides tools for working with such streams, e.g. reviewing and approving given scenes in a larger movie. The transcoding system we created processed hundreds of terabytes of source videos to date.

Scenios is really a feature-rich platform, it has realtime chat, video conferences, schedules, screening copy sharing, project management and much more.
